FOURTEEN members of Bronglais Hospital’s pharmacy team are preparing for a gruelling obstacle course challenge as they look to raise money for three local charities.
The team from the hospital will take part in the Muddy Mountain challenge at Penrhyncoch on 24 January and have set themselves the target of raising £2,000 for Apêl Elain, GoFelix and Blood Bikes Wales.
Emma Nurse, one of the members of the team, said, while all the participants are aware of how tough the challenge will be, they were looking forward to taking part to raise money for the good causes.
Apêl Elain raises money for charities that support a young Aberystwyth girl who has congenital heart disease, while GoFelix supports a three-year-old boy with a rare genetic brain disorder and Blood Bikes Wales sees volunteers offer a courier service out of hours to healthcare providers including hospitals.
