STAFF at Abergynolwyn Railway Station were given a tit-illating glimpse of one their feathery friends on a recently-installed webcam.
The Talyllyn Railway Preservation Society has installed three cameras at the Meirionnydd station so they can keep members who live around the world up to date with what is going on.
Whilst keeping an eye on their online feed, one eagle-eyed viewer was surprised to discover one of the station’s resident blue tits staring back.
After placing the cheeky snap on their Facebook page, the image soon went ‘viral’ with the post receiving more than 2,000 likes and shares within 24 hours.
Ian Drummond, the Talyllyn Railway’s press officer, said this particular blue tit is one of several birds who live in the station’s signal posts.
“They've been on camera before after they starred in BBC’s Springwatch last year,” he said.
“We have tens of thousands of people interested in our railway line so we set up the webcams so people could keep an eye on everything that’s going on.
“The blue tits are very well known to our regular passengers and I'm sure it won’t be the last time we see them on camera.”
