BUDDING photographers will be asked to capture the excitement of Aberystwyth’s CycleFest as two popular Aberystwyth events join forces.

The successful AberCycleFest will be the subject for FfotoAber’s school and college competition asking young photographers to get snapping during the CycleFest.

FfotoAber’s competition has captured the imagination of photographers and has seen the group team up with Cwmni Theatr Arad Goch and Aberystwyth Rotary Club, with AberCycleFest now teaming up with the group.

The competition will see young photographers asked to submit three photos of the activities of the CycleFest.

Deian Creunant, of FfotoAber, said: “Our schools and colleges competition has proved to be very popular and, in partnership, with Aberystwyth Rotary Club and Cwmni Theatr Arad Goch, has been constantly evolving over the years.

“It is quite natural for us to work together with another premier event in order to highlight the ongoing activities that Aber has to offer.”

Shelley Childs, of AberCycleFest, added: “Similarly to FfotoAber the aim of AberCycleFest is to promote Aberystwyth as an attractive destination and highlight what the town has to offer as well as to build on the strong interest in cycling.

“Our events have constantly developed over the years and this new partnership is a natural progression and we’re looking forward to seeing the results.”
