PLANS for a luxury holiday development in Llanfarian have been given the green light by planners.

The scheme for Silver Fern Glamping at Sunny Hill in the village will see a total of five handmade shepherd’s huts being put on site, along with a new parking/turning area, recycling/waste area, and cycle store area.

Improved site access and associated landscaping also form part of the plans.

Pllaning documents said: “The concept of luxury glamping is now gaining popularity throughout the UK, with standards and guests’ expectations on the rise.

“It is intended by the site operator that this site will be amongst the best available in the area.

“Visitors would make use of local services, amenities and facilities.”

The plans were approved by council planners under delegated powers on 14 February.
