A health food chain has hatched plans to open a store in the former Aberystwyth post office.
Grape Tree, which has stores in Cardigan and Carmarthen, has applied to Ceredigion County Council for Listed Building Consent for new signage at the former post office on Great Darkgate Street.
The historic Crown Post Office on Great Darkgate Street in Aberystwyth permanently closed in November 2016 and relocated inside the WHSmith branch on Terrace Road.
After laying empty, in recent years, the Grade II Listed Building has since been used as a community space and pop-up retail project, hosting up to 20 small businesses.
Now the health found chain Grape Tree is set to take over the building and has applied to the council for the installation of new fascia signage to the existing shopfront and associated external graphics.

No alterations are proposed to the existing shopfront structure or historic fabric.
