RESIDENTS are being invited to a presentation evening to view “very exciting” new plans for the redevelopment of Penparcau Community Centre.
Penparcau Community Forum is set to unveil plans for significant additions to the current community centre and boxing club, next to the park in Penparcau, after £490,000 was secured from the Welsh Government before Christmas, with another £150,000 coming from the People’s Health Trust.
The designs, prepared by architect David Thomas of Catalina Architecture, Aberystwyth, will include a “community heritage café” and outdoor sitting area, a training and education room, a training kitchen, a community office and “heritage exhibition area”, changing rooms, public toilets, incorporated around the existing boxing club and fitness room.
Provided the plans go through the county council smoothly, Mr Jones predicted the centre should be ready to open by the end of April 2017.
PCF is inviting people to come and see the plans for themselves at a presentation evening to take place at Penparcau Community Centre between 6pm and 8pm tomorrow (Friday, 1 April), including a light buffet and refreshments.
