A plaque has been unveiled in memory of Fairbourne man, Eric Wilding.

Pictured here is Megan Wilding (third from left) unveiling the plaque in memory of her late husband, Eric, who passed away in December 2020.

The plaque commemorates Eric’s work to extend the promenade footpath for the use of the community and visitors.

Eric, a former councillor and chairman of Arthog Community Council, worked tirelessly for the community, resulting in the reinstatement of the Post Office in Fairbourne, a new level crossing and a successful application for a grant to upgrade the village hall.

Also pictured are Gareth Evens from Natural Resources Wales, Angela Thomas, clerk to Arthog Community Council, Mike Scott and some of Megan’s friends.
