Madam,

Crime and anti-social behaviour combined have fallen further in Dyfed-Powys than anywhere else in Wales since I was elected. I have put more officers on the beat, for more time and for less money. The Dyfed-Powys Police and Crime Commissioner controls a £100m budget. Whoever is elected will have to appoint a new chief constable. They will set the priorities that keep us safe.

This is a big job. Mr Church invites us to vote him into a role he does not believe in. “Don’t want the job but I’ll take the salary” is hardly an inspiring manifesto. I stood for this position because I could see what a difference it could make to people’s lives. That is why I’m standing again.

Yours etc

Christopher Salmon

Dyfed-Powys Police and Crime Commissioner.
