Police have confirmed the name of a three-year-old boy who died in an incident in Llanybydder.

Evan Lloyd Williams died after a weekend collision involving a 4x4 vehicle at a private property.

Police, who are still investigating, say the incident happened at approximately 4.25pm on Sunday.

“Tragically, the child died at the scene,” said a spokesperson. “Our thoughts are with the family, who are being supported by specially-trained officers. Enquiries are ongoing. HM Coroner and the health and safety executive are aware.”

The police said the family do not wish to comment and have asked to be allowed to grieve in peace.
