Police are warning people to expect delays this morning as two train carriages are being transported into Barmouth by road.

The carriages, travelling in convoy, will be taken into the town on the A496.

North Wales Police have warned of delays and are asking people to avoid the area.

A police spokesperson said: “Please be aware that a wide load movement (two railway carriages travelling in convoy) will be heading along the A496 into Barmouth at approximately 11am.

“This movement will be escorted by police officers.

“Delays are expected so please avoid the area.

“Thanks in advance for your patience.”
