AN EVENT is being planned at the bandstand in Aberystwyth on Saturday in support of people from other countries who live in the area.
The show of support has been arranged following the vote by Wales and the UK to leave the EU.

Town councillor Alun Williams said he had spoken to residents who were EU nationals and “very concerned” with the result of the vote, but he reiterated that the town voted overwhelmingly to remain.
Cllr Williams said data gathered from “large samples” of Aberystwyth wards on the night indicated a vote for remain of 60 per cent in Penparcau, 66 per cent in Rheidol ward, and “more than three-quarters” in Aberystwyth Central, North and Bronglais wards.
“I have spoken to many residents with EU nationality, and many of them are very concerned about the implications of the vote," said Cllr Williams.
“There is overwhelming support in Aberystwyth for remaining in the European Union. They are very, very welcome and it is important that they know that.”
Cllr Williams added: “At 4pm this Saturday, there is an event at the Bandstand in celebration of Aberystwyth’s international community, and to demonstrate how much we in the town support our membership of the European community.”
