6.40am The final result from Ceredigion: Davis (Con) 7,307, Ham (Green) 542, Harrison (UKIP) 602, Lake (PC) 11,623, Mulholland (Lab) 8,017, Williams (Lib) 11,519.

6.30am A result from Ceredigion finally arrives and it's Plaid Cymru's Ben Lake.

4.33am This must be close, a second recount has been announced!

4.21am All signs point to a margin of around 100 to 150 votes in Ceredigion. We're still waiting for the result though.

3.38am A reminder that a close contest was expected.

3.37am Our reporter in Aberaeron says there are rumours that the recount in Ceredigion is due to an incredibly close two-horse race between Plaid Cymru and the Liberal Democrats.

3.21am Re-elected Dwyfor Meirionnydd MP Liz Saville Roberts: "I'm delighted that the electorate has shown their faith in me."

3.16am To recap on Dwyfor Meirionnydd: same top three of Plaid, Conservatives and Labour as in 2015. Lib Dems leapfrog UKIP.

3.06am Just as we thought a result was nearing in Ceredigion, a full recount has been called!

2.50am Full result from Dwyfor Meirionnydd: Churchman (Lib) 937, Fairlamb (Con) 8,837, Norman (Lab) 6,273, Saville Roberts (PC) 13,687, Wykes (UKIP) 614.

2.49am Liz Saville Roberts is re-elected as MP for Dwyfor Meirionnydd.

2.31am The Conservatives' Glyn Davies has held his seat in Montgomeryshire - he wins with 18,075 votes.

2.17am Just one table still counting the Ceredigion votes. Fingers crossed for a result soon.

2.14am Full result from Carmarthen East & Dinefwr: Darkin (Lab) 12,219, Edwards (PC) 16,127, Hamilton (UKIP) 985, Hughes (Con) 10,778, Prosser (Lib) 920.

2.14am Full result from Arfon: Davies (Lib) 648, Griffiths Clarke (Lab) 11,427, Parry (Con) 4,614, Williams (PC) 11,519.

2.05am Lib Dem Mark Williams, who is hoping to hold his seat in Ceredigion, says a tight race is "good for democracy, whatever the outcome".

2.03am For those keeping their finger on the pulse in neighbouring constituencies, Plaid Cymru have held both the Carmarthen East & Dinefwr and Arfon seats.

1.48am Our man on the ground in Aberaeron says there are rumours that a recount in Ceredigion is "very likely".

1.34am Liz Saville Roberts says she is "too superstitious" to second-guess the choices of her constituents. Meanwhile, her Labour rival, Mathew Norman tells our reporter: "Liz doesn't look too happy, does she?"

1.30am News from Ceredigion's neighbouring constituency of Carmarthen East & Dinefwr: 73.3% turnout.

1.15am Some news from Montgomeryshire for our readers in Machynlleth and Llanidloes - 34,967 votes, a turnout of 71.82%. Result expected at approximately 2.30am.

1.04am Plaid Cymru's Ben Lake says his campaign in Ceredigion has been "very tiring but very enjoyable". He believes there could be a four-way race on the cards.

0.58am In Ceredigion, the Conservatives' Ruth Davis says it's "too close to call", predicting the Tories and Labour have taken votes off the Liberal Democrats and Plaid Cymru.

0.56am To elaborate on Neil Fairlamb's decision to spend time campaigning outside of his constituency, he says he believes Dwyfor Meirionnydd is a safe Plaid seat so, despite "everyone doing their best", believes his campaign was better spent elsewhere.

0.53am A turnout of 68% in Dwyfor Meirionnydd. The 30,503 votes are a slight increase - 3% - on 2015.

0.46am "It's been an emotional campaign with the terrible events of late and Brexit looming," says Plaid Cymru's Liz Saville Roberts.

0.39am "The exit polls are very encouraging," says Dwyfor Meirionnydd Labour candidate Mathew Norman. "There are a lot of shy Tories though - 6,000 of them, and in a month I've only managed to find two of them. There was no changing their mind in fairness."

0.37am Turnout in Ceredigion is 73%.

0.30am Ceredigion candidate Tom Harrison tells our reporter his party, UKIP, still has a role to play despite Brexit.

0.22am All boxes have now arrived for the count in Ceredigion while a result from Dwyfor Meirionnydd is being pencilled in for approximately 2.30am.

0.21am "The two main parties have done everything they can to squeeze out the third parties," says UKIP's Frank Wykes. "It may have backfired though, the last polls I saw had people rebelling and voting for parties like the Lib Dems, UKIP and the Greens."

0.20am For those in Dwyfor Meirionnydd keeping an eye on nearby Arfon, 28,275 voted - a 68% turnout.

0.07am Ceredigion candidate Dinah Mulholland says she is "hoping for some strong Labour support" from Aberystwyth.

0.01am Steve Churchman, Lib Dem candidate for Dwyfor Meirionnydd: "The exit polls are encouraging - if they are to be believed of course. I'd like to see the Tories lose their majority."

11.59pm Neil Fairlamb on the Welsh Conservatives' campaign: "We've focused our campaign on keeping the Labour vote down so I've spent much of the campaign fighting more marginal seats like the Vale of Clwyd. I wish I'd had more time to speak to more constituents but it's a huge area to get everywhere."

11.47pm Talk in the room in Aberaeron suggests a big turnout in Ceredigion with urban polling stations reporting a high turnout from young voters.

11.13pm The Green Party's Grenville Ham is predicting a Plaid Cymru win in Ceredigion: "I think Labour are going to take a lot of the Lib Dem vote here. I think Plaid will win it – I have the gut feeling."

11.04pm On a UK level, Newcastle Central is the first constituency to declare. Expect a much, much longer wait for results in Ceredigion and Dwyfor Meirionnydd.

11pm Counting is also under way in Dolgellau. Lib Dem's Steve Churchman and UKIP's Frank Wykes are already in attendance.

10.49pm "The campaign has gone very well. I have spoken to lots of people and had very positive feedback," says Sir Dudley the Crazed.
