DWYFOR Meirionnydd MP Liz Saville Roberts has joined the battle against cancer by taking part in Breast Cancer Campaign’s biggest fundraiser, ‘Wear it Pink’ day.
Mrs Saville Roberts has also thanked volunteers in her constituency for their hard work supporting the campaign.
Parliamentarians were given the opportunity of wearing a pink accessory on Wednesday, 7 September, in the lead-up to Breast Cancer Now’s official ‘Wear it Pink’ day on 21 October.
The MP said: “This is an opportunity to pay tribute to the work carried out across communities in Dwyfor Meirionnydd to raise money for cancer charities. A number of people, many of them volunteers, give their time and money to support the fight against cancer by taking part in fundraising events throughout the year.
“Sadly, too many women and men die from this disease, which is why it is vital to support Breast Cancer Campaign’s fundraising efforts so they can continue to fund research which will one day lead to a cure.”
Arfon MP, Hywel Williams, has also joined forces with his fellow Plaid Cymru MP.
