THE leader of the Green Party has visited Aberyswyth and Lampeter to ask how healthy Ceredigion is, and assess its public transport.
Natalie Bennett joined Alice Hooker-Stroud, Wales Green Party leader, at Ceredigion Green Party’s event ‘Do we have a Healthy Society in Ceredigion?’.
The event was hosted by Brian Williams, who will be representing the party in the Ceredigion constituency.
The audience participated in round table discussions considering the impact of diet, work, education, housing and lifestyle on mental and physical wellbeing.
Alice, who hopes to become the first Green AM elected to the National Assembly in the elections this May said: “We need a health and social care system designed by and accountable to local communities.”
Natalie Bennett said: “It’s time for something to replace neoliberalism. Greens have the solutions to produce a healthy Ceredigion. We need a joined up approach. If elected as Wales’ first Green AM, Alice could really shake up the Senedd.”
When Alice Hooker-Stroud and Natalie Bennett visited Lampeter last week, they travelled on the T1 bus from Aberystwyth, and enjoyed hearing from bus users about their experiences of public transport.
