Ceredigion’s Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate has hit out after election posters were stolen or defaced.

Mark Williams said several posters had been stolen or defaced with spray paint, and said several of the damaged posters are on the road between Aberystwyth and Cwmystwyth.

Mr Williams said: “A significant number of Liberal Democrat election posters have been stolen or defaced with spray paint across the county.

“It is sad for democracy in this county that some people behave in this infantile way, damaging others’ property on private land.

“I have never experienced this behaviour before.

“I point no particular fingers, but hope the culprits stop.”
