A POPULAR clothes shop in Aberdyfi has handed over a cheque for over £800 to the Wales Air Ambulance following a ‘donating not discounting’ scheme held last year.

Assistant manager at the Aberdyfi Fat Face retail shop, Jess Weeks, said: “ In 2015, instead of taking part in the ‘Black Friday’ discounting phenomenon - feeling that it was not a sustainable model for UK retailers and also not great for customers - Fat Face decided to launch a ‘Thanks for Giving’ campaign, which was about donating rather than discounting.

“Through this campaign almost £200,000 was donated to the Fat Face Foundation and this money was distributed to charities within communities where Fat Face trades.”
