A LLANIDLOES charity has launched a new project fund and is looking for people from the town with ideas and projects to get in touch.
Compton’s Yard Charitable Trust said the fund is to give “an opportunity for people with great ideas to add to the quality of life in Llanidloes”.
A spokesperson said: “The charity is looking for people with project, scheme or event ideas that help deliver their charitable objectives.
“The Trust is interested in projects that help people in the local area; it has a special interest in social welfare, education and the history, crafts and culture of the area.
“Past projects have included support for breast-feeding mothers, industrial history, woodland crafts, forest school and music events.”
The Trust, established in 1981, has been involved in several projects over the past few years, helping to fund schemes including the Esgair Woodlands Project, the Llanidloes breastfeeding peer support group, as well as various theatre and musical events in the town including support of the school theatre project at the community centre.
Application forms for ideas for new projects to fund can be obtained from the Trust with the closing date of 2 October. Projects must be completed by 31 December 2017.
If you have a great idea for a project, you can contact the Trust via email at secretary@comptonsyard.org.uk, via telephone on 01686 414719 or write to CYCT at 11-13 Great Oak Street, Llanidloes SY18 6BU.
