DASH Ceredigion, a charity that provides leisure schemes for disabled people and young people in Ceredigion, has received a cash boost.

Ceredigion County Council chairman Lynford Thomas is pictured presenting a cheque for £410 to DASH Ceredigion manager Jo Kennaugh.

Cllr Thomas said: “DASH Ceredigion has been providing an important service that has enabled many local disabled children and their families with a better quality of life.”

Ms Kennaugh said: “I was so heartened to find out that the Chairman had chosen to donate to DASH Ceredigion and wish to thank Cllr Thomas for choosing our charity.

"We run a number of schemes for disabled children and young people, including playschemes, activity days, a mobile youth club, away weekends, volunteering opportunities and engagement projects aimed to develop confidence and independence.

"Donations can help ensure that we can continue to make a positive difference to the lives of families in Ceredigion.”
