MOUNTAIN bikers have raised more than £7,000 for the Wales Air Ambulance through a series of fund-raising events.

Adrian Bradley and Medwyn Roberts from Antur Stiniog, along with customer John Hamilton from the Wirral, visited the Wales Air Ambulance base at Caernarfon to present a cheque to the charity.

The money was raised through their fund-raising charity days at the Antur Stiniog Mountain Bike Centre at Llechwedd.

Three events there have raised a total of £7,434.58 for the helicopter charity, which will help them provide emergency air cover to everyone in Wales.

The events, which usually take place in December, feature participants in fancy dress flying down the centre’s trails on their bikes, with most of the proceeds going to charity.

Another fancy dress day is set to take place later this year.
