Madam,
We are pleased to let you know that the Aberystwyth Street Singers raised £760 for charity singing carols on Great Darkgate Street before Christmas. The money raised has been equally divided between the four charities: Blood Bikes Aberystwyth, Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre Wales, Shelter Cymru and AIDS Orphanage Uganda. A presentation on the promenade was made to Bridget James, the local member of the Bobath fundraising team for this charity which provides specialist physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy to children all over Wales who have cerebral palsy. Also a presentation was made to the local Blood Bikes team. Many thanks to all those who donated, and also those who came to help with the singing.
Yours etc, Gethin Roberts, Rhydyfelin.
