At the end of the term, David Williams, the headteacher of Ysgol Bro Pedr, Lampeter, retired.

Mr Williams has given 41 years of service in the profession with the last three as head of Ysgol Bro Pedr.

To mark the occassion, a carved plaque was presented to him by the head pupils, Luned Jones and Gareth Jones, accompanied by deputies Huw Howells, Meinir Davies and Rhys Jones.
