WALES’ most notorious rap group have travelled throughout Dwyfor and Meirionnydd to film their latest music video.
Maintaining their role as “cultural ambassadors for the whole of Wales and not just Newport”, Goldie Lookin Chain’s bombastic new album Fear Of A Welsh Planet with a video that sees them take in well-known locations including Blaenau Ffestiniog and Dolgellau.
The comedy group have thrown down the gauntlet and asked fans to name as many locations in the video as they can, with a “heady reward” for anyone able to get all 23 locations.
It is every rap fan’s dream to have a curry with Goldie Lookin Chain and stay the night in the hip hop hotspot of Newport and the GLC are offering just that to anyone that can name the most places correctly.
Rhys from the GLC says: “We went around Wales for two days and fell in love with this beautiful country all over again, except spending the night together in just the one hotel room, that bit was horrible.
“We took in the sea air, the dramatic sights of expansive mountain ranges and some roadside cafés that were out of this world.
“Perhaps not always in a good way, but Wales is one of the world’s jewels and there’s no band better than the GLC to take that pride and make it felt beyond the border.
“This is the land of Tommy Cooper, Manic Street Preachers and some absolutely beltin’ curry houses, and that needs to be celebrated.”
