Madam,

I see that your Remain readers are busy spinning their own disputatious views of Brexit. Roger Louvet charges the Leave campaign with ‘electoral dishonour and corruption and lying’. What was Project Fear, put out by the Remainers, but a huge untruth and don’t forget that David Cameron used government money to fund that project.

As for David Naylor, he seems to forget that MPs of all major parties voted to uphold the result of the referendum. In doing so they were handing sovereignty on this issue to the people but, it seems, only if we agreed with them. As for the effects of leaving, some won’t be pleasant but not catastrophic as he predicts but he should realise that if MPs had respected the people’s decision instead of working against it we would have had years to prepare for an exit, deal or no deal.

He has only the Remainers to blame for the predicament we find ourselves in.
