Madam,

To show my concerns over the proposed incinerator in upper Gwynfryn I have made the following points to the Snowdonia National Park Authority:

Though I don’t live near the site, I think the Snowdonia National Park Authority should respect the inhabitants who do.

When I lived on the Old Road in Harlech many times we were enveloped in cloud, trapping farm odours and smoke. Thus pollutants and obnoxious smells could also be trapped when low cloud occurs around the site.

As Llanbedr and Gwynfryn have a traffic problem, it is pertinent not to add to it with large and awkward vehicles.

What fuel would be used and how are the residues and run-offs to be contained? Being high up, any leakages have a fair chance of travelling far.

I just can’t understand that such a development on a site that is amongst ancient habitats and beauty could be allowed..

It is the Snowdonia National Park’s responsibility to carefully consider this very serious problem.

Yours etc, Chris Smith, Bryn Deiliog, Llanbedr.
