PEOPLE living in the Dyfi Biosphere attended a climate action event in Eglwysfach.
Residents, including members of the local WI branch, looked at an exhibition of maps and wrote personal statements of their concerns regarding climate change and its possible effects on the biosphere area which stretches from Borth and up the Dyfi Estuary.
These included fears of future road and rail disruption from flooding, and landslip and loss of floodplain farmland. A walk on Y Foel preceded the meeting to assess the vulnerability of the valley.
There was a quiz which prompted discussions and a slideshow highlighting the beauty and diversity of the area.
They also noted the opportunities for the biosphere to prosper through jobs and projects using the wealth of expertise in renewables and conservation, and the natural resources of the area.
