Popular entertainers Gregory Brothers and Crew travelled to Porthmadog as part of their schools’ environmental awareness roadshow.
The Tidy Gwynedd shows are funded through a Welsh Government grant and are now in their fifth year of touring the county’s primary schools.
They highlight issues such as littering, dog fouling and the need to reduce, reuse and recycle in a lively and entertaining way with the brothers assisted by characters Tidy Ted and Eli Eco, together with popular puppets Siôn and Siân.
Gwynedd Council’s Tidy Towns officer Jonathan Gwyn Neale said: “These shows are a great way of investing in community pride and environmental awareness. The children are also able to gain the valuable experience of seeing a live performance from professional entertainers, with the panto and slapstick aspects particularly effective in engaging the children’s attention.”
Gwynedd Council’s highways Cabinet member Cllr Catrin Wager said: “We all know that a good, all-round education is essential for our children’s development into healthy, well-adjusted adulthood. And surely, part of this education must be to know what society expects from them as adults when it comes to the local environment.
“What better way to bring across these important messages than in a light-hearted and entertaining way? This rare and happy experience will surely remain with them for a long time and give them every opportunity to contribute and play their part in society throughout their lives.”
