Renowned sand artist Marc Treanor recently created an intricate work at Llangrannog in celebration of Discover Ceredigion and Visit Wales’ Year of the Sea, which celebrates Wales’ outstanding coastlines.
Tourists and locals gathered to watch while the masterpiece unfolded, as the Dinas-based craftsman used just a stick and rope to ensure symmetry in his work.
“We commissioned Marc Treanor to work his magic on our beaches as part of Ceredigion’s Year of the Sea celebrations as his work always creates such a stir,” said a Discover Ceredigion spokesperson.
“Llangrannog Beach, with ‘Carreg Bica’, is iconic on the Ceredigion coast and we were keen to feature it to mark the Year of the Sea in a creative way.
Mark’s work has had such a positive response from anyone who sees it, there’ll be lots of photographs on our Instagram, Twitter and Facebook as well as our website www.discoverceredigion.wales”
