Madam,

As a mother living in mid Wales, a trip to the Welsh seaside is a much-loved event for our family, regardless of the season.

Of all the beaches near to us, Borth holds a very special place in our hearts, which is why we were all excited by the ‘Tree’ project.

I showed the artist’s impression to my 10-year-old daughter and she said: “Can we go and see it now, so I can touch the branches!”

Children often say things that are sometimes overlooked by adults.

In this case my daughter sees this for what it is - an exciting, beautiful addition to the seaside experience.

I do hope the community gets behind this iconic project and that my daughter and I will indeed one day get to touch the branches.
