Madam,

It was wonderful to see Aberystwyth town showcased on the BBC Songs of Praise programme on Sunday, 24 March.

The seaside looked wonderful on TV. Aberystwyth Arts Centre, the new Catholic Church in Penparcau and St Padarn’s Church, Llanbadarn Fawr were all featured.

In particular there was a report on the new Christian drop-in centre in Aberystwyth called “the Well” which is in Baker Street and run by Lindy Morgan.

I remember back in 1999 when Jackie Harris started a similar project on Marine Terrace, Aberystwyth, seafront, which was a Christian cafe called “John 14:10” and the focus was upon helping people in need and showing people God’s love.

I have to say well done to Lindy and to Jackie for working to enrich the Aberystwyth community and for being brave enough to do these things.
