A SECLUDED south Ceredigion beach that was once used as a location in a James Bond film is expected to feature in the forthcoming Jurassic World 2 blockbuster.
Penbryn beach is understood to be joining the Brecon Beacons as a spot for shooting the sequel to 2015’s Jurassic World which will be the fifth installment of the Jurassic Park series.
Exact details of when crews will arrive and how much footage will be shot at Penbryn are not yet known, but the film’s director J A Bayona revealed earlier this year the film would be shot on location at the Brecon Beacons National Park.
The news has been welcomed by local county councillor Gwyn James.
“It will be fantastic for the area and really put Penbryn on the map,” he told the Cambrian News. “There’s a mile of sand down there and only one road going in and out but it gets pretty full during the summer. I wouldn’t have thought a film unit would take up much room, though, and I’m sure people will be very interested to hear about this.”
