I am bemused by the decision to remove outdoor spaces in Dolgellau to provide more car parking spaces.
We all know that the number of journeys by private motor cars is to be reduced, so it follows that less parking spaces will be needed in the future.
The chance to provide more space for people to stroll, sit, or enjoy a leisurely cup of tea in our town and village centres should surely be seized now the opportunity is there.
It can only make our lives more pleasant. The recent decision appears to be perverse, and will surely need to be reversed in the future.
