There’s still time – oh yes there is! - to catch up with online panto Dewin Oz(oom).
Singer-songwriter Gai Toms has written the show which was made in the Ffestiniog area.
Part one was launched on BROcast Ffestiniog’s YouTube channel
on Monday (14 December), and the second part last night.
The third airs tonight (Wednesday) and the fourth, tomorrow night, will be a live interactive online event where people can question the characters and decide how the story should end.
“What could possibly go wrong?” said Gwenlli Evans from BROcast Ffestiniog.
“There are some original songs and they’re fantastic, and the cast are locals.
“It’s been so much fun to do – challenging because of Covid and the cold, but we wanted to do something for the community and hopefully it will bring everyone together.”
The show, in Welsh, will remain online after this week’s release, but only viewers who watch this week will be able to decide how the story ends.
“Hopefully they’ll be happy with what the community decides," Gwenlli said.
The project received funding from the National Lottery Community
Fund and help from Brocast, Creuhau and Theatr Gybolfa.
The pantomime is set in Blaenau Ffestiniog, where Dot dreams of going beyond the rainbow and away from a community where she feels there are no opportunities and she doesn’t fit in.
After taking a nasty tumble Dot finds herself in a digital world, and faces the wrath of Doris after squashing her sister and chief advisor Dominique.
To get home Dot will have to learn lessons from friends along the way in the hope of reaching the Wizard of Zoom.
