A FLURRY of snow in south Ceredigion overnight left some motorists stranded.

Part of the A482 north of Lampeter towards Aberaeron are still partially blocked this morning with snow and stranded vehicles according to reports.

Despite the flurry, Ceredigion Council reports that all schools in the county opened as normal this morning.

The Met Office issued a yellow warning yesterday afternoon that stretched from Aberaeron south, with many parts of south Wales and the Valleys suffering serious disruption overnight and this morning.

The weather is expected to turn milder as the day goes on, with snow turning to rain across the country.
