Snow is causing problems on roads across Wales.

Drivers have been urged to show caution if they intend to tackle the treacherous conditions on the roads today as a band of rain, sleet and snow moves eastwards across Wales.

We have a snowy picture of the Talyllyn Pass (A487), sent in by reader Eleanor Day, with some motorists reportedly stranded on the icy incline between Dolgellau and Corris.

“It’s quite bad up there; snowing heavily and sticking,” explained Eleanor.

“Even front wheel drives are struggling at the top!

“A colleague has just spoken to his parents who are now stuck on the pass with a few other cars and a Mansel Davies Tanker.”

A Met Office forecast suggests that most of the wintry snow and ice will have gone by this afternoon.
