The Neuadd Pendre Social Centre in Tywyn has been closed until further notice.

This is due to concerns about the coronavirus outbreak.

The decision to close came during a meeting with the trustees and management committee of the centre on Wednesday, 18 March.

The centre is used for meetings by various committees within the community.

Secretary of Neuadd Pendre, John Boulter, said the decision was made based on guidelines and advice issued by the authorities.

He said: “Following government guidelines and expert scientific advice the committee and trustees of the Neuadd Pendre Social Centre, Brook Street, Tywyn, Gwynedd have decided to close the Neuadd Pendre S C until further notice.

“Hopefully the situation will soon return to normality.”
