A CONCERT featuring the popular Brythoniaid Male Voice Choir was held in Dolgellau to raise funds for the town’s hospital league of friends.

The concert was held on Saturday, 18 June at St Mary’s Church in Dolgellau.

Cllr Linda Morgan said she was very grateful to the Brythoniaid Male Voice Choir for supporting the hospital in Dolgellau.

She said: “In June 1964 a local Blaenau Ffestiniog man, Meirion Jones, formed a male voice choir which was to become one of the most successful choirs in Wales.

“We are very proud of the Brythoniaid Choir singing, to those who have heard them will agree it has a unique sound, long may it continue.”
