SPECTACULAR images have been captured of the Northern Lights in the skies above Meirionnydd.

The images, which show the greens and reds of the Aurora Borealis were captured by night owls across mid and north Wales.

The natural phenomenon occurs when electrically-charged particles from the Sun enter Earth’s atmosphere, and is not usually visible from Wales.
