Editor,

We hear and read of some very good things that are happening at Bronglais Hospital, Aberystwyth, and then it gets spoilt by some staff members using the tiny car parking facility by the A&E at Bronglais to the detriment of patients, who need it!

A dear old lady had brought her very sick husband into A&E and dropped him off for the medics to deal with, then went to park the car... hey presto, no car parking spaces. She waited and waited and then decided to drive the car down to Tesco car park as that was the only place available, she felt, and was then going to walk back to A&E!

Then disaster again... her car broke down by the traffic lights by Tesco. She got out and tried to push it. Gallantly, a number of people including the person who contacted me went to her aid. It was to him she related the story.

This, Hywel Dda, this has to stop. The car park, although inadequate, is for patients, not staff and hospital vehicles they have a dedicated car park up on the Clarach Road with transportation down the hill to the hospital.

Please think of those who need your help.
