THE Talyllyn Railway is holding a retro bank holiday weekend event.
The Talyllyn Railway is going back to the 1980s over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend (29 April – 1 May), and there will be plenty to bring back the memories.
From the cars to the pop hits, and everything in between, the 1980s are going to be brought to life across the weekend.
Among the activities scheduled are a 1980s trivia quiz and a car display in the yard at Wharf Station.
The King’s Café at Tywyn Wharf will also be serving a 1980s themed menu.
On Saturday, 29 April, at 7pm there will be a Rick Astley tribute at Tywyn Wharf followed by a classic 1980s disco.
A spokesperson for the railway said: “Be sure to get your neon clothes out the wardrobe and break out those leg warmers, as the best-dressed will win a prize.”
