STUDENTS from the Independent Living Skills department of the Dolgellau campus of Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor have once again excelled at the Urdd Gobaith Cymru Eisteddfod.

A number of foundation students have achieved success within the ‘Art & Craft’ sections at both regional and county level and are now eagerly awaiting the Urdd National Eisteddfod, 2016 which is being held in Flint between 30 May and 4 June.

Additionally, three pre-vocational students from the department Sophie Evans, Jodie Morris and Sarah Langdale claimed a notable ‘1-2-3’ within the ‘Create an Artefact’ competition for those aged under 25.

A spokesperson for the Coleh Meirion Dwyfor said that all the certificates were “well earned” and that all the staff and pupils at the collage were keeping their fingers crossed for further success at national level!"
