A PWLLHELI football supporter who missed out on Euro 2016 tickets has hit out at the way they were allocated.

Shôn Ynyr said that, despite his commitment to the Welsh national team which has seen him follow them around the world, he was one of the unlucky fans who missed out on tickets to watch the team at Euro 2016 in France this year.

The Football Association of Wales says a points system designed to reward the most loyal fans was used when allocating tickets, but Shôn believes a lottery-style allocation process was used, as many of the more loyal fans have lost out to some who have only been to a couple of games.

Shôn said he was devastated to discover he had been unsuccessful in his ticket application.

He said: “It left me feeling absolutely gutted and devastated."
