PETROLHEADS were treated to a tantalising glimpse of two supercars worth over £1m on the roads of Meirionnydd last week.

Two McLaren road cars, were spotted by photographer, Erfyl Lloyd Davies at T? Nant, near Dolgellau on Wednesday, 3 October.

It is not yet clear what the cars, a McLaren Senna and a McLaren LT675, were doing in the area but they were accompanied by a film crew.

The McLaren Senna, named after Ayrton Senna, one of F1’s greatest heroes, has been described as the “ultimate road-legal track car” and commands an eye-watering price tag of £750,000.

A frugal purchase by comparison, the LT675, one of only 500 ever made, still costs over £260,000.

Both cars can hit 60mph in under three seconds and have top speeds of over 200mph.

McLaren has been contacted for comment but no response had been received at the time of going to press.
