MORE than £3,000 has been raised for refugee charities at a Post Turkey Tango event at Y Tabernacle, Machynlleth.
The event on Friday included 25 musicians, choirs, an orchestra made from vegetables and a whoopee cushion Mexican wave.
There were harp pieces from Cerys Pendre and songs from Lucy Jenkins as well as a performance from the Tangerine Choir of the Howard Goodall piece Refugee.
Saturday included dance pieces and music from several bands and finished with a performance by Dave Swarbrick, who is most famous for his time with Fairport Convention and is still touring with Martin Carthy.
The event was arranged to raise money and bring attention to the refugee crisis in Europe.
