Gwynedd Council’s Record Office is offering an opportunity to see what is kept at the archives in Caernarfon and learn how to go about searching for the content, at a taster session on Saturday, 23 November.

There will also be an opportunity to tour the building to see how the collections are kept and preserved.

Cllr Gareth Thomas, Gwynedd Council Cabinet member, said: “Gwynedd’s archives contain many interesting documents, why not come along to see what it has to offer you? The taster sessions offer an opportunity to connect with the area’s history and culture. I would encourage anyone who is interested in local history to book a place, everyone is more than welcome.”

The Welsh-medium session will be held between 10am and noon and the English medium taster session will be held between 2pm and 4pm.

You can book a place by contacting [email protected]u or 01286 679095.
