A post office will be set up in a Llyn village hall whilst a more permanent solution is sought.

Post Office bosses announced this week that a post office will be set up in Morfa Nefyn’s village hall to provide a service to the community.

In a statement, they said: “Post Office is delighted to announce that Morfa Nefyn Post Office service has been restored as a temporary Hosted Outreach service, while Post Office continues to seek a permanent solution for the area.

“The previous branch temporarily closed last year following the resignation of the postmaster and the withdrawal of the premises for Post Office use.

“The new service which commenced on 15 March is located at Canolfan y Pentre, Lon Isaf, Morfa Nefyn, Pwllheli LL53 6BW CH7 6UH.

“The service will operate every Friday between 11am and 1pm offering a wide range of Post Office products and services.”

Carol Williams, Post Office area network change manager added: “We are pleased to be able to reinstate the service as we know how important these services are to the local community.

“We hope the local community will join us in welcoming this good news and that customers will continue to use the branch”.
