I am writing to say a huge thank you to all the lovely people of Aberystwyth who supported our recent pop-up shop for the animal victims of the Australian bush-fires.

We also wish to especially thank the local businesses who supported our efforts by the generous donation of prizes for our tombola. Their generosity and goodwill was hugely appreciated and helped to make the fundraising the success it was.

In total the shop raised £450 which was sent directly to the Humane Society International UK. The money will be earmarked for disaster relief efforts in Australia, coming to the aid of animals in desperate need.

It will help the HSI to continue to search and rescue animals injured in the fires, to provide supplementary food and water in habitats decimated by fire and the money raised will directly contribute to food supplies for animals currently in HSI rehabilitation enclosures, who may still need months of care to recover from their injuries.
