Madam

Following on from your article about the fairy doors in the woods between Aberaeron and Llanerchaeron (Cambrian News, 21 April) we set off in search of them this morning.

Our party consisted of two adults, six toddlers and a dog! We walked all the way from Aberaeron to Llanerchaeron and back. On the way we sang and danced whilst looking for fairies.

The children were very animated and thoroughly enjoyed the magical experience. On the way home the children knocked on every door and said bye bye to the fairies and blew them kisses.

They were also very quiet and made shushing noises whilst walking passed the doors that had signs saying “fairies sleeping”. So I’d like to say thank you to the anonymous fairy lady for allowing the children to enjoy something so simple yet fascinating.

I’m sure a visit to the fairy doors will be a regular trip for us this summer.

Yours etc
