Madam,
I would very much like to convey my sincere thanks to the gentleman and ladies who helped me after a crashing fall due to a raised paving stone somewhere outside Argos and Iceland last Thursday.
I felt myself going down and tried desperately, unsuccessfully, to reach the wall or a gentleman standing outside to break my fall. Unfortunately, all I succeeded in doing was frightening the gentleman’s dear little black dog.
The ladies came to me straight away and helped me up, while a gentleman in Iceland sent a chair out for me that he insisted I sat on. They stayed with me until I regained my breath as I was badly shaken, although there was nothing broken, thankfully.
I got off very lightly, with both knees badly bruised and one bleeding, and a badly bruised toe and elbow, but was left very shaken.
Thanks all who helped me. I’m sorry I didn’t get any names but I hope you all read this.
Yours etc,
Chris Humphreys, Penrhyncoch, Aberystwyth.
