A north Wales hospice is encouraging people to join them on a walk along the coast of the Llyn Peninsula and help raise money.

For the second year running, St David’s Hospice is organising a three-day walking challenge on the Llyn between Abersoch and Porthdinllaen.

The event takes place from Friday to Sunday, 5 to 7 July, and follows the Llyn Coastal Path.

The walk will be led by qualified trek leaders from Aim Higher who will provide support, assistance and ensure safety at all times.

Keri McKie, Gwynedd area fundraiser, said: “The walks are challenging, as each day is expected to be approximately eight hours of walking on tough terrain, but are a spectacular and inspiring experience which will give you an unforgettable sense of achievement.

“With the trek leaders leading the way, you can just walk and enjoy the fantastic views.

“You can choose from one, two and all three days, and there is an award for each participant upon completion.”

O Ddrws i Ddrws, ‘transport by the local community for the local community’, will be providing free transport from the finish line each day.

The Llyn Three Day Challenge is a bespoke walking event to raise funds for St David’s Hospice, which provides local hospice care to patients and their families living with an advanced illness in Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey.

Registration is free to take part, but all participants are expected to pledge to raise a minimum sponsorship (£100 for the three day and £50 for either of the one-day challenges).
