A BENEFICIAL supermarket scheme rolled out across Dwyfor and Meirionnydd will be an advantage to a number of local charities.
Last month, the Cooperative store in Dolgellau started a new initiative which looks after members of the store with discounts.
For every member who purchases Co-op products, one per cent of their spending will be put towards local charities.
In Dolgellau, the three organisations which will benefit will be the Meirionnydd Special Riding Group, the Talking Newspaper for the Blind and the League of Friends’ Dolgellau branch.
Co-operative stores across the constituency will also be involved in the scheme helping dozens of local organisations.
